Getting Started
[return to main FAQ page]
- How do I get a user ID and password ?
You must be a registered customer of Art Stone / The Competitor to use the web ordering feature.
If you are not a customer, you need to send us proof of business to get an account
started. Once
you are a customer, you can request a password on-line by going to our home page,
and clicking on the link in the top banner that reads "Reset Password".
Fill in the blanks and submit the form. We will process your request electronically.
- How do I login ?
Go to our home page, and click on the “login” link at the top left side of the screen.
You will be asked for your account number (always a 5-digit number) and password. Type it in, and
click on [SUBMIT]
- I forgot my password. Now what do I do?
On the login screen, click on the “Forgot your password?” link. On the next screen, fill in your account
number, the zip code of the billing address, and the phone number associated with the account.
Click on [SUBMIT], and if the information you provided matches, your password will be reset
and sent to the e-mail on file.
- That didn’t work. I don’t remember my zip code and/or phone number.
Send an e-mail to customerservice@artstonecostumes.com from the e-mail account you believe
is on file. Tell us your name, your company name, your account number, a contact phone number,
and any other information you think will help us identify and validate your request. If it matches,
we will reset your password for you, and you will receive an e-mail with the new password.
If we can’t validate it, we will contact you via phone for verification.
- How do I know if I’m logged in?
Go to our home page, and look on the top center of the screen. Notice the blue 'STATUS' oval.
If you are logged in, you will see "-Logged In-" in the status bubble.
Otherwise, you will see "Not Logged In" displayed.
Additionally, the top menu changes if you're logged in or not.
If you are logged in, you will options on the home page for "View Cart" and "Order History".
- I was away from the computer for a while, and when I came back to continue my order, I
was asked for my user ID again, and it told me I had “insufficient privileges to continue” .
What happened?
For security reasons, we have an inactivity timer on the site. If you do not click on anything for more
than half an hour (30 minutes) you will be logged off. Your shopping cart will be saved, with the possible
exception that the last costume you keyed in may not have been captured. Log back in, and verify
your shopping cart (if needed) before continuing.
